"If we had to choose the most accurate synonym for 'the present', 'anxiety' would be a solid candidate," says artist Gerardas Raitas Šatūnas about the today's prevailing mood and the opening of his creative exhibition "Anxiety". The author of the exhibition states that anxiety is a very common and unpleasant emotional state, experienced by every person who is feeling stressed. Author explains it as a bad feeling, tension and restlessness whenever a person is expecting internal or external danger, when the sources and origin of that danger are unknown. So, anxiety is caused by irrational factors without any specific stimulus.

G. R. Šatūnas studied the arts of stained glass and decorative application at the Tallinn Academy of Arts in Estonia, where he obtained the qualification of a painter of applied art. The stained glass windows he created has decorated several state buildings and churches in Lithuania (Mykolas Romeris University in Vilnius, Druskininkai, Kybartai and Gelvonai churches). Šatūnas does not only create in the field of stained glass, the artist uses a mixed technique and the objects of his painting often become architecture, still lifes and landscapes.

G. R. Šatūnas studijavo Estijoje Talino dailės akademijoje vitražą, dekoratyvinę taikomąją dailę, where he acquired the qualification of an applied painter.Since 1999 G. R. Šatūnas is a member of the Lithuanian Artists' Association (LAA) and the Rotterdam Centrum Bilden Kunst (CBK) since 2003.
