Violinist Andrii Pavlov grew up and was inspired in the family of musicians in Kyiv. His concert activities consist with solo performances with Vienna Radio Symphony, National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine, Kyiv Soloists, Lviv Philharmonic, New Era Orchestra, Lviv Virtuosos, Poltava Symphony as well as solo and chamber music performances in Switzerland, Japan, Austria, Denmark, France, Portugal, Poland. In 2017 Andrii has got the Levko Revutsky Award by Ministry of Culture of Ukraine.

Pianist Valeriia Shulga actively performs as chamber musician and accompanist. Her activities including appearances with Kyiv Symphony, Chernihiv Philharmonic, Harmonia Nobile orchestras and collaboration with Ukrainian festivals GOGOLFEST, KyivMusicFest, Premiers of the Season, Two days and two nights of new music. In 2019 Valeriia got a chamber music teaching position at Gliere Municipal Academy of Music in Kyiv.

In 2007 Andrii and Valeriia had their first joint performance. Since then the “Duo Sonoro” gave concerts in Ukraine, Spain, Italy, Germany, Austria, Netherlands, and Poland. Among the mentors, who had a significant impact on development of the ensemble, are violinists Andrej Bielow, Philip Setzer, Johannes Meissl, Gyorgy Pauk, Peter Schuhmayer and pianists Tatiana Arsenicheva, Avedis Kouyoumdjian, Robert Kulek, Martha Gulyas. The duo won prizes of international chamber music competitions in Plovdiv (Bulgaria, 2017), Salieri-Zinetti (Italy, 2016), Johannes Brahms (Austria, 2015), Stasys Vainiunas (Lithuania, 2014) and Dmytro Bortniansky (Ukraine, 2012).
