On 21 March5 p.m. we invite you to the meeting with Kathleen Soriano (The United Kingdom) – the curator of the exhibition "From Amber to the Stars. Together with M. K. Čiurlionis: Now and Then".
An exclusive opportunity to greet a world-renowned curator!
Her strong relationship with the work of Čiurlionis began in 2022, when she curated the exhibition "M. K. Čiurlionis: Between Worlds" at the Dulwich Picture Gallery in London. Čiurlionis' work, by means of this, had been widely presented in the UK for the first time. This project attracted a great deal of international interest, and Soriano's involvement in the dissemination of Čiurlionis' legacy grew into a long-term collaboration with the M. K. Čiurlionis National Museum of Art.
Presently, she has made a great contribution to the 150th anniversary exhibition "From Amber to the Stars. Together with M. K. Čiurlionis: Now and Then", providing her international experience and unique perspective on the artist's position on the global art scene. During the meeting, the curator will share her insights into the work of Čiurlionis, introduce the international exhibition and reveal the subtleties and challenges. Don't miss the opportunity to hear first-hand how large-scale international exhibitions are born and why Čiurlionis is ceaselessly fascinating the world!
