On June 18, at 4 p.m. you are welcome to a concert commemorating Leah Goldberg (1911–1970) – the classics of Israeli literature, an outstanding Hebrew-language poet, playwright, and author of books for children.

Pianist prof. Raminta Lampsatytė (Berlin), bass singer Joris Rubinovas (Lithuania), soprano Izabelė Vasiliauskaitė (Lithuania), mezzo-soprano Salome Paz (Israel) and tenor Alejo Ruiz (Argentina) will perform compositions by Israeli composers Stella Lerner, Alexander Argov, Yehezkel Braun, Robert Starer, Menachem Wiesenberg, Moshe Rasiuk after the verses by Leah Golberg.

L. Goldberg, originally from Kaunas, is one of the best-known Jewish poets in the world, but she is still little known in her first homeland. In fact, Lithuania has left a deep imprint on her as a poet life and work, and influenced her personality. Almost all her most famous poems which have become popular songs in Israel is about Lithuania. For her work, the writer has been awarded the most prestigious prize in Israel.
