We invite you to the discussion "With Stake and Spade" about the diversity of Vampires in Poland by Łukasz Kozak and Rūta Miškinytė. The event will be held in English.

Łukasz Kozak is a medievalist, technology and media expert. He cooperates with numerous cultural institutions and scientific institutions in the fields of innovation and new technologies. In 2020 he published "With Stake and Spade. Vampiric Diversity in Poland" and "Upiór. Historia naturalna" ("Upiór. A Natural History" with illustrations by Aleksandra Waliszewska), the first extensive studies on vampirism in the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. He co-worked with Waliszewska on her "Cats" album.

Rūta Miškinytė is a Lithuanian historian and a PhD student at the Vilnius University. Her main field of interest is poverty and begging in the Early Modern Vilnius. She has been a curator two exhibitions, both of them were held in Vilnius Museum. One of them – “A Wolf, a Tower and a Church. Vilnius Souvenirs” – is currently available and will be open until the 2nd of July 2023. Rűta is also a member of the organizing committee of the annual Lithuanian sci-fi and fantasy convention “Lituanicon”.
