On August 11th, Thursday, at 5:00 p.m., we invite music lovers and listeners to walk together on the musical bridge connecting Lithuania and Ukraine.

The willingness to perform music from both countries in one concert led to the search for a program, which became an unexpected discovery for the performers themselves. The concert will feature opuses for the string quartet by Ukrainian composers V. Hubarenko, M. Skoryk, and H. Havrylets, which have never been heard before. The theme and variations in B minor by M. K. Čiurlionis, one of our most prominent composers, will certainly stand out from the repertoire of the Lithuanian quartet, while G. Kuprevičius's "Small Talk" for violin and viola will color the concert with the modernism typical of Kaunas.

The performers are Myroslava Kotorovych, one of the most prominent Ukrainian violinists, and Lithuanian musicians who have established themselves in Germany and appeared on different European stages: Katažyna Narkevič (violin), Augusta Romaškevičiūtė (viola), Giedrius Žukauskas (cello).

During the event, visitors will be able to donate to Ukrainian children affected by the war.
